In Castle Rock, residential roofing permits go through Town of Castle Rock Development Services (303-660-1377). Permit fees are typically $160–$420. We pull the permit as part of the job — you don't have to handle that paperwork yourself. The current code adopted is 2021 IRC / 2021 IBC (Douglas County adoption).

Castle Rock has been impacted by multiple significant hail events in recent years, including May 30, 2024 — Denver Metro Hail Storm. The Front Range sees damaging hail regularly, and even one storm can reduce a roof's lifespan dramatically. We offer free post-storm inspections — the only reliable way to confirm whether your roof was affected.

Most Colorado homeowners policies cover hail damage to your roof under your dwelling coverage, regardless of where you live in Castle Rock or Douglas County. You're responsible for your deductible; insurance covers the rest up to policy limits. Your policy type (ACV vs RCV) and roof age affect what you actually collect. We help document damage and work directly with your adjuster throughout the claim.

Most residential roof replacements in Castle Rock run between $12,000 and $35,000+ depending on roof size, pitch, material, and how much decking repair is needed. Permit fees in Castle Rock typically run $160–$420 and are included in most estimates. We give a free written estimate at the inspection — no pressure, no obligation.

No. Under Colorado Senate Bill 12-038 (SB38), it's illegal anywhere in Colorado — including Castle Rock — for a roofing contractor to pay, waive, rebate, or credit your insurance deductible. If a contractor offers this, the contract is unenforceable and both parties can face penalties. It's one of the clearest red flags for a storm chaser. Legitimate roofers won't ever propose it.
